🌟 Welcome to Our Space for Children and Young People

We offer a warm, welcoming place where children and young people can make friends and explore the Christian faith in our church family.

Our aim is “to help children and young people discover that God’s love is real, personal, and part of their everyday lives.”

🧒 Who We Are

Children and young people are at the heart of our church community. We meet every Sunday during term time at 9:30am, and there’s always a friendly face ready to greet you.

  • Delph Junior Church is designed especially for children under 11.

  • All ages are welcome, and we simply ask that children under 5 come with a parent or guardian.

  • Elders, our group for young people in Year 6 and above, meets once a month to chat, learn, and grow together.

🙏 What Sundays Look Like

We begin each Sunday by joining the whole church family for the first part of the service. After that, the children head to their group for activities, stories, and discussion.

When it’s a Holy Communion service, we return to church to join our families and share Communion together.

🎨 Messy Church

Join us in Church for crafts, stories, games, and a shared meal. It’s completely free, and everyone is welcome — children just need to stay with a responsible adult.

⭐ Tuesdays Together

For young people in Years 6–9, Tuesdays Together led by Laura Tebay provides a relaxed space to unwind, chat, and have fun. Join us in St Thomas’s Church Hall for games,, snacks, and creative activities. This group is open to all young people in the community.

.🌼 Our Team & How to Get in Touch

Delph Junior Church is looked after by Sue Powell, Richard Lait, and Ruth Rigby, with support from Kim Doyle. Babies, toddlers, parents, and carers are always welcome — come along, join in and enjoy the activities.

🌱 Elders (Year 6+)

Our Elders group is led by Laura Tebay and meets once a month for relaxed time together.
