Safeguarding at St Thomas’s Church
Our Church is committed to safeguarding children and young people, vulnerable adults and everybody in our Church community. We aim to create safe environments, where children and young people are nurtured and protected; and where all people and especially those who may be vulnerable for any reason are able to worship and pursue their faith journey with encouragement and in safety.
Our Safeguarding Lead is Richard Lait.
We follow the national guidelines for safeguarding including the Church of England policy and practice, through our partnership with the Manchester Diocesan Safeguarding Team.
As a Church we are committed to safer recruitment, training and support for all of our voluntary workers with children and vulnerable adults.
